Umineko Project Lands on PlayStation Vita in Version 1.0
The massive visual novel Umineko Project is now available on PlayStation Vita v1.0, featuring PS3 assets, full voice acting, and a custom engine.
Developer stoicpingu has released the v1.0 port of the celebrated visual novel Umineko Project for the PlayStation Vita. If you own a hacked Vita, you can now experience this massive story with over 100 hours of content directly on handheld hardware.
This release is based on the Umineko Project, bringing PS3 assets and full voice acting to the portable console. To make it run smoothly on the Vita, the ONScripter-RU engine was heavily modified, and all assets were optimized. The developer notes that because the game contains over 100,000 files, unzipping and transferring the files to your Vita will take a significant amount of time. The developer also mentioned that AI was used to assist with the port under the supervision of an experienced programmer.
Since this is a v1.0 release and not all chapters were fully tested, you can report any encountered issues directly on the GitHub repository.
