shadPS4 ships another pre-release, and the notes are empty
shadPS4 published a new pre-release on 10 October. The release page has no changelog text, just a commit hash, a compare link and six assets.
The PS4 emulator shadPS4 put out a new pre-release on 10 October. The build is tagged Pre-release-shadPS4-2026-10-10-811bfcd and sits on top of v.0.19.0. Pre-release builds let people test fixes before the next stable tag, so that’s the reason a regular user might care.
Here’s the annoying part. The release page has no changelog text at all. What it gives you is the commit hash 811bfcd, a Full Changelog compare link against v.0.19.0, and six assets. The release was published by georgemoralis, and the commit carries GitHub’s verified signature. That’s everything the source shows. It doesn’t list fixes, game compatibility changes or new features, so anything you read about what’s inside would be guesswork.
My opinion: empty notes on a pre-release are common in this scene. That’s fine when the devs are busy with code. But if you want to know whether your favorite game got better, open the compare view and read the commit list. Skip the hype in the comments.
If you want to try it, grab the asset that matches your system from the release page. Keep your current build and your settings folder somewhere safe first. That way you can roll back fast if the new build breaks something you rely on.
