Paper Mario just landed on the PS Vita courtesy of Rinnegatamante, who dropped version 1.0 of PaperBoat. If your handheld has been collecting dust, this source port gives you a solid excuse to fire it back up.

Built on top of the decompilation efforts of the game, this release brings widescreen support, 60 FPS gameplay via interpolation, and mod support to Sony’s forgotten handheld.

How to try it:

  1. Grab the vpk from VitaDB or the GitHub repository.
  2. Install the vpk package on your hacked PS Vita.

Decomp ports continue to squeeze every last drop of performance out of legacy hardware. When developers bring native ports with high frame rates to the Vita, it proves the scene is far from dead.
